SWEN Blue Ocean invests in innovations that help regenerate ocean health and achieve SDG14, with the aim to deliver both systemic impact and competitive market returns. The team launched the Blue Ocean fund in September 2021 at the IUCN's World Conservation Congress, in scientific partnership with Ifremer, France's leading ocean science institute. The fund invests in solutions to overfishing, solutions to ocean pollution and marine-based solutions to climate change.
Blue Ocean closed at EUR 170 million and its investment strategy focuses on Series A investments, mainly in Europe.
