Save The Baltic Sea

Save The Baltic Sea is an environmental hiking expedition around the Baltic Sea that started on March 11, 2024.

The aim of the expedition is to promote a culture of marine conservation, inform the public about the state of aquatic ecosystems, the impact of human activities on the sea, and introduce ways to halt the decline of marine biodiversity and pollution.

The journey will take 9 months, 8 countries will be visited (Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia). Hikers will conduct a public awareness campaign: filming, collecting litter, creating artistic installations, organizing events, and discussions.

Save The Baltic Sea
“Save The Baltic Sea” is a hiking expedition around the Baltic Sea that started on the 11th of March, 2024. The main aim of the initiative is to educate the public about pollution problems in the Baltic Sea and to promote its conservation. The expedition team currently consists of 10 hikers. Each has their own responsibilities - route coordinators, chefs, logisticians, photographers, and filmmakers. We are looking for one more team member to join the expedition that has already set foot in Germany!   The new team member will be provided with all necessary equipment and clothing, accommodation and meals free of charge. Additionally, a gross monthly salary of 1000 € will be paid.   Requirements and main tasks  Ability to hike along the Baltic Sea coast for 9 months.
