Job Description

The Project & Policy Officer will be working in the framework of the CPMR-Intermediterranean Commission (CPMR-IMC) and its team, particularly supporting the implementation of the Regenera4MED project (Interreg Euro-MED) and other projects upon the needs of the organization. The Officer will also support the IMC in its policy work, related to the projects’ thematic areas and upon the needs of the organization.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB The Project & Policy Officer will be working in the framework of the CPMR Inter-Mediterranean Commission (CPMR-IMC) and its team, particularly supporting the implementation of EU cooperation projects. The position will also foresee the support to the related CPMR-IMC policy work and day-to-day activities.
EMPLOYEE’S POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION This position reports to the Executive Secretary of the CPMR-Intermediterranean Commission.
PROFILE 2-3 years minimum experience working professionally on EU policies or EU cooperation projects/programmes. Skilled, autonomous and very dynamic person with high predisposition to teamwork in a multilingual context.
LOCATION Barcelona – The applicant must have the right to work in Spain.
TYPE OF CONTRACT Permanent contract under Spanish provisions, with a standard trial period of 6 months.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth running of the projects under their responsibility.
  • Monitoring of EU and Euro-Med policies of interest for the IMC, elaboration of notes, briefings and policy documents, as necessary.
  • Relate efficiently with team members, projects partners, member Regions and other parties.
  • Report to and constantly coordinate with the CPMR-IMC Executive Secretary and other Project Officers on the development of projects’ activities.
  • Report to the CPMR financial department/Senior EU Programmes Officer on projects’ budget elaboration and implementation.
  • Actively support the connection between the projects related activities and the overall CPMR-IMC action, notably on sustainable tourism and its dedicated Task Force, contributing to its advocacy efforts and improving relation with member Regions.
  • Represent the CPMR-IMC during external events, organized by projects partners and funders mainly, as necessary.
