Job Description

CCMAR is Looking for an Intern (M/F)! 

We're offering a paid internship (Level 7 – €1,254/month) for Master’s graduates, pending IEFP approval.  

We're on the lookout for a motivated and creative recent graduate to join our team and help develop the Observatório Marinho do Algarve (OMA) – a new initiative to contribute and promote sustainability and innovation in the Algarve. More information here

What You'll Be Doing: 

1. Project Support 

  1. Monitor the implementation of activities and ensure timelines are met.

  2. Assist in organising project meetings and managing event logistics. 

 

2. Institutional Communication & Digital Marketing 

  1. Support the execution of OMA’s digital communication strategy.

  2. Manage promotional campaigns for events, activities, and scientific publications.

  3. Create and send regular newsletters featuring updates, events, and opportunities.

  4. Update and maintain the institutional website (content, calendar, news, publications).

  5. Track digital metrics (engagement, reach, clicks) and compile monthly reports. 

 

3. Social Media Management

  1. Plan monthly editorial calendars with the digital agency.
  2. Create engaging, scientifically accurate content (posts, videos, reels, stories).
  3. Support thematic campaigns (e.g., awareness weeks, international days, citizen science).

You Might Be a Great Fit If You: 

  1. Hold a Master’s degree in Management, Marketing, or Business Administration (ESG-related knowledge is a plus).

  2. Have strong knowledge of MS Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word).

  3. Feel confident using and managing social media platforms.

  4. Be fluent in Portuguese and English.

  5. Have excellent communication and multitasking skills.

  6. Be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

  8. You share our passion for sustainability, nature, and ocean conservation.
