Job Description

📣 We are hiring a Head of Growth, responsible for overseeing the Yachting Ventures growth consultancy division and managing fundraising support for startups in our network. 

Key Responsibilities

🚀 Growth Projects:

  • Engaging with community startups throughout their growth trajectory, working with startups teams to better understand their needs and agree the scope of each consulting project.
  • Conduct market research, surveys and interviews to better understand industry trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes.

  • Create and execute on strategic sales and marketing plans, to help startups expand their customer base, explore new markets, and drive revenue.

  • Identify and map out key stakeholders in the ecosystem, including customers, suppliers, and partners.

  • Attend meetings and compile and present information orally, visually and in writing to keep clients up to date on progress.

💸 Fundraising Support:

  • Collaborating with startup founders to develop a comprehensive financial strategy, analyzing the financial needs of the startup and aligning them with fundraising goals.
  • Identifying potential investors, and building/maintaining relationships with potential investors.

  • Support with the review and creation of investor facing materials, including pitch decks, teasers, business plans and financial models. 

  • Offering support during due diligence processes, helping startups prepare the necessary documentation and information for investors.

  • Providing guidance on startup valuation, ensuring that the valuation aligns with market trends and industry standards.

  • Support startups in our network with investor strategy and outreach, including pipeline management and process. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, fundraising landscapes, and investor preferences to provide informed and strategic advice to clients.

🎯 Business Development:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for inbound clients, qualifying, fostering relationships and understanding their unique needs.

  • Maintain notes on key milestones, dates that startups are working towards, events they plan to attend, support they need. 

  • Follow-up with startups on progress to keep momentum on sales cycles, both across fundraising and growth.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, such as professional services or consultancy.

  • Commercial awareness and good numerical skills.

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Genuine interest in the startup ecosystem and venture capital.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter and problem-solver.

  • No marine or yachting specific experience required.
