Description of the job The Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences (IO PAN) offers a 2-year full-time scientist position in marine biogeochemistry defined by Biogeochemical Essential Ocean Variables (BGC EOVs). The position is funded by the Horizon Europe BioGeoSea project and is based in Sopot, Poland. IO PAN is playing an increasingly significant role in shaping the European and global oceanographic landscape. It is home to three prestigious international programmes: the International Ocean Carbon Coordination Project (IOCCP) & Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) Biogeochemistry Panel of Experts, the Integrated Marine Debris Observing System (IMDOS), and BalticEarth.
