My academic background includes a Master's degree in Fisheries Science in the department of ‘AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT’ and a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Science from College of Fisheries, Assam Agricultural University. Additionally, I am honored to have been recognized as the ‘Best Volunteer’ at the "National Convention Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan” by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. These experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in fisheries science and community development, enabling me to contribute effectively to interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
During my tenure as a Young Professional-I at the Horticultural Research Station, Assam Agricultural University, I had the privilege of working on the DBT funded project "Expansion of Biotech KISAN Hub Activities in Three Aspirational Districts (Goalpara, Dhubri and Udalguri) of Assam." This experience provided me with valuable insights into community engagement and project coordination, particularly in rural settings. Subsequently, I transitioned to the role of Project Associate in the Indo-German Technical Cooperation project “Sustainable Aquaculture for Food and Livelihood (SAFAL)” at Kalong-Kapili NGO, Kamrup (M) with a salary of Rs. 45,100.00. Here, I have been primarily worked on developing Community Resource Persons and Aqua Entrepreneurs, fostering partnerships with various stakeholders to promote sustainable aquaculture practices and improve livelihoods in Assam.
Worked as Project Associate in Indo-German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) project “Sustainable Aquaculture for Food and Livelihood (SAFAL)” formerly known as "Food Security through Integrated Aquaculture in Assam & Odisha" at Kalong Kapili NGO.
Key responsibilities and accomplishments during his tenure include:
1. Developing Community Resource Persons and Aqua Entrepreneurs, fostering partnerships with various stakeholders to promote sustainable aquaculture practices and improve livelihoods in Assam.
2. Collaborate with academic, scientific and governmental institutions, as well as entrepreneurship centers.
3. Project operational planning.
4. Logistic support.
I had the privilege of working on the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project "Expansion of Biotech KISAN Hub Activities in Three Aspirational Districts (Goalpara, Dhubri and Udalguri) of Assam."
