Rita Hencke is a German photographer and filmmaker, currently based in Munich. Graduating in Marine & Natural History Photography from Falmouth University in the UK, Rita specializes in documentary productions with a focus on environmental and ethnographic storytelling.
With a wealth of professional experience as a freediver and scuba diver, Rita captures compelling underwater images and films that underscore the urgent need for conservation. She explores both above and below the water to reveal our deep connections with the natural world.
Her photographic work has been exhibited in Falmouth, and her films have received international recognition, earning awards for their impactful storytelling. Notable projects include the student films “Sea-renity” and “Salt in their Veins.”
