Personal Summary

My name is Adekunle Olutola ADEKUNLE. At present, I am an aquaculture production supervisor at a leading land-based aquaculture recirculatory system (RAS) farm in Nigeria. Being my third RAS project involvement after my bachelor's degree, I have developed competencies in fish production, fish health management, and breeding management in intensive fish production such as the recirculatory aquaculture system (RAS). I have been able to work on the commercial production and management of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus), Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), common carp (Cyprinus carpio), and pangasius catfish (Pangasius hypothalamus).

I hold a bachelor's degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management with a major in aquaculture from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in Nigeria. I graduated with a Second-class (upper) degree (3.95/5.0) and also studied Aquaculture and Fisheries Management at University of Lagos where I graduated with a CGPA of 4.07/5.0. I intend to further improve my career objectives with a graduate position at this reputable University. My 7 years of professional experience in fish production and current challenges in Nigeria aquaculture have influenced my research interest in the behavior of pathogens in the freshwater-intensive aquatic environment, especially recirculatory aquaculture systems (RAS).
