I am passionate about the sea and all its mysteries, with a deep interest in its study and conservation. My dedication and optimism have led me to excel in marine research projects, bringing an innovative and meticulous approach. As a tireless worker, I always strive to improve and contribute sustainable solutions to protect the oceans. I possess technical skills in scientific research, oceanographic equipment management, marine species identification, marine cartography, environmental data analysis, and marine conservation and management. Additionally, I excel in teamwork, effective communication, problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability.
I participated in a marine mammal monitoring program in Mexico, which involved systematically observing and recording species such as dolphins and whales in their natural habitat. During the project, we collected data on their behavior, distribution, and populations using sighting techniques and acoustic recordings. I then conducted a thorough analysis of the data obtained, identifying patterns and trends contributing to research on these species' environmental impact. The results were used to develop conservation strategies to protect marine mammals in the monitored areas.
After completing my internship in Baja California, where I actively participated in the monitoring and data analysis of marine mammals, I have continued collaborating on the research online. Currently, we are focused on meticulously analyzing all the data collected during the project, with the aim of drawing significant conclusions that will contribute to scientific knowledge. This work is fundamental to the preparation of scientific articles that we hope to publish soon, sharing our findings with the scientific community and helping to promote the conservation of marine ecosystems.
During my studies in the Marine Sciences degree, I acquired a solid and multidisciplinary knowledge base that spans from the exact sciences to the natural sciences. I developed skills in mathematics and physics applied to the study of the ocean, including mathematical modeling and fluid dynamics, which are fundamental to understanding marine processes. Additionally, I deepened my knowledge in marine biology, exploring the biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems and their interactions. My education also includes studies on coastal protection and management, where I learned techniques for habitat conservation and mitigating environmental impacts in coastal areas. I am also proficient in using GIS programs and have a strong ability to learn quickly and independently.
My native languages are Basque and Spanish, and I have an advanced level of English.
I am highly proficient in using programs such as Word, Excel, MATLAB, and R. Additionally, I have independently learned how to use ArcMap for GIS tasks and have a good understanding of QGIS as well. My ability to quickly adapt to and master these tools has been crucial in my academic and research work.
