Personal Summary

As a lifelong conservationist, I have hiked, biked, camped, explored, and taken my deepest breaths from California to Florida.

Currently I live in St. Augustine, Florida where I work to implement change, bring awareness, and enjoy seaside living.

My career has allowed me to work as an interpretive park ranger at Yosemite National Park, and an educator at zoos and aquariums from coast to coast. I am now ready for the next step: employment with a company I believe in and under whose guidance and leadership I can grow and thrive.

Personally, I am searching for a reasonable work/life balance with a job I can do from my already-established home office for a company I feel good about working for.

Work Experience

Manager of Community Development
Oct 2001 - Present MARINELAND DOLPHIN ADVENTURE

I began at Marineland in 2001 as the Education Supervisor, running school programming for aquarium visitors.

In 2004 I added "Facility Historian" to my role as I worked to uncover and share the stories of the "World's First Oceanarium".

In 2014, as the Manager of Community Development, my focus changed from onsite programming to offsite partnership programming to broaden the reach and focus and demographics of the educational offerings I could provide.

In 2020, with a push from COVID, I added Digital Communications to my area of responsibility, including social media, website management, and email campaigns.

For 1 1/2 years, I held the role of Executive Director for the League of Environmental Educators in Florida (LEEF) concurrently with my role at Marineland. My responsibilities included:

  • Leading LEEF into a place of increased financial stability, membership satisfaction, and effective board management
  • Initiated the JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity) mission within the organization
