Senior Marine Scientist and Project Manager, with a strong track record in leading multidisciplinary teams within the R&D technology sector.
As an islander, the ocean has always been the main driving force of my career.
Over the years, my natural leadership allowed me to skillfully guide R&D teams on nearshore tech projects and offshore sea campaigns using high-end scientific hardware and software giving me a solid technical expertise. I have actively contributed in academic, NGO and private marine initiatives worldwide, in the fields of data collection, ocean mapping, spatial analysis, environmental research, fisheries conservation and technology development.
In my most recent role as an Agile Product Owner at Microdrones startup, I smoothly transitioned from a career at sea to successfully guiding the software development of an innovative drone mission control Android application for LiDAR mapping. Managing the project lifecycle I have been involved in prototyping, integration, design, branding, quality control, testing in addition to software maintenance and support.
As mentioned above, a significant part of my career has been spent in seafloor exploration, where I specialized in underwater mapping for the maritime industry.
Now, I want to channel my peculiar background—from applied geography to geomatics research passing by the harsh offshore industry—towards a sustainable future.
I also have the power to contribute to the feminization of the maritime industry to create a more inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender, feels included in pursuing a career in marine science.
