After a Bachelor's Degree in Social and Organizational Sciences and a Master's Degree in Labor Management and Communication for Organizations, I spent six months interning full-time as an HR Assistant. However, this experience, although fulfilling, made me feel the need to delve more deeply into the social aspect of my studies so that my work could have a greater impact not only within, but also outside organizations. I therefore pursued a Master's degree in International Cooperation at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
During my last work experience, which lasted almost two years, I dedicated myself to analyzing the needs of women's artisanal fishing cooperatives in Jubaland, Somalia, serving as Project Management Officer for Africa at H.OPES Foundation, in collaboration with Federpesca and GIZ. During this time, I managed the implementation of the research study and contributed to a report on the conditions of women's fishing cooperatives, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, and making recommendations to strengthen these organizations. I have gained experience in collecting and managing data, analyzing information, and summarizing findings in reports and presentations. My proficiency in tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva has enabled me to effectively communicate complex concepts and insights.
Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a deep passion for positively impacting society by addressing pressing social issues. My ultimate dream is to contribute to creating a more inclusive and equitable world through my work, being able to design and manage policies, projects, or services regarding humanitarian operations, integration interventions, and combating gender-based and xenophobic violence. To improve the quality of projects, I would like to be able to combine project writing with field research so that the two activities are mutually beneficial.
Through my studies and professional experience, I have refined my analytical and research skills. I am able to critically analyze complex problems, synthesize information and formulate innovative solutions. In addition, my strong communication and interpersonal skills enable me to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, fostering cooperation and the achievement of common goals.
