MISSION TO METRICS In our mission to rid the world’s oceans of plastic, we rely on a thorough understanding of the global plastic pollution problem and its impact on marine life. The Environmental and Social Affairs team at The Ocean Cleanup aims to ensure the net positive environmental and social impact of The Ocean Cleanup's operations by investigating the risks and benefits of cleaning up plastic pollution in rivers and on the high seas. An important research aspect is investigating how marine life in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) is affected by plastic. To this end, the team is researching plastic ingestion by fish and other marine life in the GPGP. You will be responsible for analyzing the plastic ingestion by fish collected from the GPGP in our laboratory in Rotterdam.
