Job Description

Are you interested in leveraging your scientific expertise to advance research on climate change impacts in the Mediterranean Sea?

We offer a research grant position (Borsa di Studio) within the Dynamics of Ecosystems and Computational Oceanography (ECHO) research group of the Oceanography Section at OGS, in the framework of the national HPC-TRES programme (HPC Training and Research for Earth Sciences), and in synergy with the European Horizon project RIVIERADE (started in January 2026).

Expertise is required in the understanding and quantitative representation of the dynamics of the Mediterranean region and the Mediterranean Sea, including the development and application of data analysis methods and regional models to describe and integrate physical and biogeochemical processes at climatic scales, also leveraging artificial intelligence and high-performance computing technologies.

Climate modellers, data scientists, and computational scientists are warmly invited to apply.
